mafs 2025 curfew

The Married at First Sight Australia 2025 cast have been punished with a “strict” new curfew after one rowdy couple went missing during filming.

From MULTIPLE walkouts to grooms gone rogue, the upcoming season of the marriage experiment is set to be explosive.

And things are still heating up! According to Daily Mail Australia, producers were forced to impose a strict curfew on the cast after a pair of newlyweds went missing.

Initially, the participants were given a curfew of 10 pm on weeknights and 11 pm on weekends, similar to the curfews we were given as young teenagers.

However, after breaching the rules too many times, they must return home by 8 pm on Fridays and Sundays, and 9pm on Saturdays. Ouch.

This new curfew was imposed after a couple went missing mid-shoot, ignored the curfew (and production), and didn’t return home on a Saturday night.

Married at First Sight 2025 cast labelled ‘SELFISH’ and ‘DISRESPECTFUL’ in email from production

One insider told the outlet that the cast’s keys “don’t work after a certain time”, so if they return home too late, they must “inform the assistant producer to let them in”. Otherwise, they’ll be stuck outside.

“It’s a way of trying to keep the cast behaving and stop them from coming in and out as they please,” the source added. And we’re sure the cast of fully grown adults aren’t too pleased with this!

The brides and grooms also received a harsh email from production, which they thought was “unfair” and “complete bullsh*t”.

“Unfortunately, over the weekend, two participants decided to cease communication with production on Saturday night and not return to the apartments by curfew, let alone at all,” the message started.

The email asserted that one “selfish decision” has impacted the crew, and Nine was also informed of the breach.

“The complete disregard to this production’s guidelines to ensure all participants remain safe whilst in our care, as well as the utter disrespect to my crew and their weekend, has meant the below changes will need to be enforced,” the email continued.

Producers also expressed disappointment that they hadn’t “received an apology, let alone any kind of remorse”. They also apologised to those who’d been following the rules. Yikes!
