Married at First Sight Australia 2025‘s runaway groom, Eliot Donovan, has returned to the show after his OG bride, Lauren Hall, was re-matched with someone else.

Insiders spilled that the groom felt “stitched up” because he and Lauren were a “complete mismatch”. Lauren returned to the show as an intruder with a new hubby, Clint Rice shortly after.

However, according to Daily Mail, Eliot “suddenly” showed up at one of the Dinner Parties after Lauren had gotten close with her new match. And the cast were shooketh!
“It was like the ultimate plot twist,” one source dished. “Lauren and Clint had just started to get comfortable with each other when Eliot showed up out of the blue.
“The look on Lauren’s face was priceless. She was completely gobsmacked. And Clint? He was not impressed at all. Clint, let him absolutely have it.” Ooft!

Another source told Daily Mail Australia that Eliot returned to the series because he felt “misunderstood”.
“He’s back to clear his name but isn’t apologetic about his behaviour,” they explained. “He and Lauren were a complete mismatch, and he hasn’t changed his mind about wanting to get out of their romance.
“Clint’s been a rock for her, and she’s been enjoying the fresh start. Eliot’s return has thrown a wrench in the works.”
Reportedly, the entire cast feels “on edge” about Eliot’s return, as several grooms didn’t get along with him when they first met him.
“There’s a lot of anxiety now. Everyone has no clue what the f*ck is going on,” the source said. “It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out.”
Like us, producers are delighted about Eliot’s “game-changing” return.
“This is the kind of twist that makes MAFS must-watch TV,” another source added.
“The love triangle between Eliot, Lauren, and Clint will keep viewers glued to their screens.” And we can’t wait to see this sh*t show unfold!
