Reportedly, several participants from seasons eight to 10 have been caught messaging the 2025 cast in an attempt to “stay relevant”.

According to the outlet, this has caused Channel Nine to warn the new cast to avoid former brides and grooms.

“Producers aren’t happy about this at all,” one source dished.

“They’ve seen how some of these former cast members have become ‘fame-hungry’ and are trying to use the new cast to keep their name in the headlines. It’s creating unnecessary distractions for the show.

“It’s one thing to be friendly, but some of these past contestants are blatantly trying to insert themselves into the new season’s drama. The producers have had enough,” they continued.

“They’ve been told to avoid getting caught up in the fame game. It’s about finding love, not chasing clout.”

Producers are concerned former MAFS contestants are ‘MANIPULATING’ the 2025 cast

According to the outlet, MAFS producers are concerned that previous contestants will “manipulate” the 2025 cast.

“There are a few former brides and grooms who are infamous for causing trouble, both on and off the show,” the insider said.

“The last thing the producers want is for these fame-seekers to influence or manipulate the new participants.”

Despite the warning, the new brides and grooms are still “flattered” that ex-contestants are contacting them.

“They need to realise that these people are just looking for their next 15 minutes of fame,” they said.

“[MAFS] is about creating genuine connections… The last thing anyone needs is for ex-contestants to muddy the waters with their desperate attempts to stay relevant.”
