A Married at First Sight Australia 2025 groom has been busted messaging a former participant behind his wife’s back.
ICYMI: MAFS is back in production with the 12th season kicking off filming in late July, and it sounds like it’s already in shambles!
From matched couples already knowing each other to participants being booted at the 11th hour, the latest instalment sounds like it’s the same old drama with all new faces!

Now, it’s been revealed that one groom has landed himself in hot water with both his new wife and producers after he was caught secretly messaging former stars for advice.
Per Daily Mail Australia, the unnamed groom was DMing ex-MAFS participants on Instagram. In the messages, he was reportedly asking for help to navigate the massive pressures on the show.
However, what really raised eyebrows was the groom’s plan to “go rogue”. There’s always one (or 10)!
‘Rogue’ Married at First Sight groom treating wife ‘terribly’
One MAFS production insider told the outlet that the groom in question has been “vocal about feeling set up by producers”.
“It’s causing a lot of tension on set,” they admitted.
Apparently, the participant has been difficult to manage, and producers are contemplating cutting him from the show.

“He’s treating his bride terribly,” the source continued. “Their living arrangement has become really uncomfortable, and it’s heartbreaking to see someone not taking the process seriously.
“It’s like he’s more interested in leveraging his fifteen minutes of fame than actually making his marriage work.”
It comes after it was revealed that MAFS producers are on the hunt for a “back-up” cast after concerns arose that many of the couples will leave early in the experiment.
