Married at First Sight Australia 2025 producers are reportedly on the hunt for “back-up” participants because the cast they’ve already recruited isn’t bringing the drama we know and love!
To say the upcoming 12th season of the marriage experiment hasn’t been chaotic would be an understatement.
From matches already knowing each other to participants getting booted at the 11th hour, MAFS 2025 has been in shambles from the get-go.

Now, it’s been revealed that producers are preparing to makeover the 2025 cast despite already being three weeks into filming.
Per Yahoo Lifestyle, casting producer Ed Cook shared a call out on his Instagram Story on August 8, imploring “single males” to apply “for their chance to be part of MAFS 2025“.

According to the outlet, one production insider later dished that they’re still casting for the show because “some of the cast are underperforming on camera”.
Plus, they feel they need “bigger personalities and better talent”. Ouch.
Married at First Sight 2025 producers think a bunch of couples from the current cast will ditch the show early
The insider also claimed that producers are anticipating “too many couples leaving early”.
As such, they’re recruiting “back-ups who are ready to go.”
It comes as another MAFS source told the outlet that producers are back to “instil[ling] fear in participants to prevent them going rogue”.

“All cast are required to ‘check out’ if they wish to leave the apartment building, and they have a curfew in place, but half of them ignore these rules while some take them very seriously and get dubbed ‘producer pets’,” the insider explained.
“The measures may seem extreme this year, but producers can’t risk cast mixing when the cameras aren’t around to capture all interactions and drama.”
With MAFS 2025 still months away from hitting the small screen, we have a feeling this tea is just the beginning of the next sh*tshow…
