The Block 2024 fans felt awful for Ricky Recard and Haydn Wise after their builder ruined their bathroom in one of the show’s biggest fails of all time.
During the August 28 episode, the besties received the bad news that their waterproofing wasn’t dry and that their shower stop was put in back to front and needed to be fixed.
Not only that, but Foreman Dan told them that they had to rip up their subfloor because the wrong products had been used during waterproofing. Eek!
Things went from bad to worse when they discovered that the tiler had also destroyed the plaster inside their shower.
And fans felt horrible for the duo.

After a series of unfortunate events, the lads had no choice but to fire their builder, Miller.
“You’re a cracking dude, but the way that the last week or two has turned out has been a f*cking disaster,” Ricky started before stating he had an issue with Miller’s lack of accountability.
Haydn chimed in, admitting that things were beyond repair and it was time to let the builder go.
And viewers were proud of how the pair handled this confrontation.
However, others understood why Miller wasn’t too invested in perfecting Ricky and Haydn’s bathroom, given he was likely taking home a measly wage.
Another fan claimed that “highly skilled tradies” would be too busy to go on a silly little reality show. But where’s the drama in everything going perfectly anyway?
