It’s been announced that The Golden Bachelor Australia is coming to Channel Nine in 2025, and we can’t contain our excitement!
In May, it was revealed that The Bachelor Australia wouldn’t return to Channel 10 for 2024. Boo!
However, we’ve been given the ultimate upgrade, as a Bachelor for single seniors will be hitting our screens in 2025.

The series, which followed Gerry Turner, 72, on his quest for love, was first introduced in the US in 2023 and won over the hearts of American reality TV fans.
The finale alone reached 6.1 million viewers, making it the biggest episode the franchise had seen in the past three years.
As revealed by TV BlackBox, Nine will “formally announce” the Aussie version of The Golden Bachelor at its UPFRONTS event in October.
So far, Married at First Sight‘s Josh White, 41, and Richard Sauerman, 62, have expressed their interest in becoming the lead.
But we’re hoping Nine brings in a fresh face!
The Golden Bachelor Australia will focus more on ‘genuine connections’ than drama
In November 2023, the Daily Mail revealed that The Golden Bachelor would move away from the drama the OG franchise is famous for.
“They’re setting the stage for a show that’s less about high-drama antics and more about genuine connection and companionship,” one insider dished.
“Producers are looking for their perfect male lead before they put out a call for female suitors to match.”
