Australia will be getting its own version of The Golden Bachelor and we’re digging the diversity!
ICYMI: A Bachelor for single seniors which followed Gerry Turner, 72, on his quest for love won over the hearts of American reality TV fans.
According to Daily Mail, the wholesome dating show will be coming to Australia following the success of the US-based series! Woohoo!
Warner Bros. has announced that they’re seeking “fun, active and outgoing male seniors aged 60 or over who are divorced/widowed and open to meeting the next love of their life.” And we’re already invested!
Sources have told the outlet that producers are in the “final stages” of bringing the show to Australia.
However, unlike the regular Bachelor, this series will be dialling down the drama.
“They’re setting the stage for a show that’s less about high-drama antics and more about genuine connection and companionship,” the insider dished.
“Producers are looking for their perfect male lead before they put out a call for female suitors to match.”
Producers have reportedly decided to bring The Golden Bachelor Down Under as an attempt to increase the diversity on our TV screens. And we love to see it!
