ABC USA has created a version of The Bachelor for single seniors who are giving love another shot and our hearts are melting!
On May 16, the network announced that The Golden Bachelor would be hitting our screens later this year.
The Golden Bachelor will showcase a “whole new kind of love story — one for the golden years,” and we have a feeling the cast won’t have any ulterior motives. Ahem, a blue tick.
In a synopsis, ABC revealed that the new show will centre around one “hopeless romantic” who’s been “given a second chance at love in the search for a partner with whom to share the sunset years of life.”
There will also be a cast of ladies who’ve had a “lifetime of experience, living through love, loss and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities.”
“In the end, will our Golden man turn the page to start a new chapter with the woman of his dreams?” the synopsis teased.
The Golden Bachelor has been in the works for quite some time now. ABC posted their first casting call for singles over 65 back in early 2020, and the show is finally seeing the light of day.
We’re excited to see some diversity on our screens, and hopefully, the seniors can teach these younger reality stars a lesson or two.
