Channel Ten host Osher Günsberg has seemingly confirmed that The Masked Singer Australia and The Bachelor Australia have been cancelled for 2024. And we’re shooketh!
During his appearance on The Hughesy, Ed and Erin Show on May 7, host Dave Hughes, who’s previously been a Masked Singer panellist, revealed that the quirky singing show is unlikely to return to our screens this year.
“As far as I know, The Masked Singer won’t be filmed this year for Channel 10,” he spilled.
“We’ve had such a great time over those years. It’s been such a fun show to be on, and so many great singers have been on. It’s a tough one for the production team.”
Osher joined the chat, stating that whilst he loved hosting the show, “things come and go”.
“This is the job I chose. I’m still busy building a very large independent podcast empire, I’ve written my second book, and I’m busy doing things,” the 50-year-old said.
He then explained that as a freelancer, he’s used to things “moving around” and “repositioning”.
“The show’s not coming back because I did a bad job, I can tell you that,” he joked.

When asked if The Bachelor would be back for 2024, Osher stated that he hadn’t cancelled his upcoming holiday to Fiji, which he’d booked at the same time filming usually commenced.
So we’re taking that as a bit fat, no. This is interesting, given insiders told Yahoo! Lifestyle that the hit dating show would “never be cancelled” due to network requirements.
“It’s an interesting time in the television industry,” Osher cryptically responded.
A Ten spokesperson has since told Daily Mail Australia that the “program schedule for the second half of the year” is still being confirmed, with “announcements being made very soon”.
