The Bachelors Australia host Osher Günsberg revealed that the revamped series is “catching up with modern dating”, and this is the moment we’ve been waiting for!
In July, Channel Ten confirmed that the iconic franchise would feature a three-man lead for a second time, with Wesley Senna Cortes, Ben Waddell and Luke Bateman taking centre stage.
And during an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle on September 12, the long-time host spilled the tea on the new season.

“The show is catching up with what modern dating looks like,” the 49-year-old dished.
According to the host — who also heads up The Masked Singer — the older seasons were more “aspirational” as they were set in a time before “dating apps”.
However, Channel Ten has decided to make things more realistic in the upcoming season.
“For example, we used to clear a restaurant [before filming] if people were having dinner, we don’t do that now,” he explained.
This should be interesting! We wonder if we’ll catch any of the bored single people watching during their dates!
Osher Günsberg says the new season of The Bachelors will be EXPLOSIVE
And if you thought last season was JUICY (ahem, Jess Navin‘s open relationship), you’re in for a treat because Osher says the next series will be even more exciting!
“We Trojan Horse these kinds of concepts into primetime TV, which otherwise wouldn’t get there,” he said.
“[Last year, we experimented with] different relationship structures that people would otherwise be a bit puzzled by.
“There’s more of that this season, which I’m really excited about,” he gushed.

However, there will still be a healthy dose of romance!
“It’s really lovely,” Osher said. “This [season] is really romantic, like sending gifts and flowers and things like that.” And it sounds like chivalry is alive and well!
Osher compares the upcoming season of The Bachelors to Game of Thrones
Osher also compared the upcoming season of the dating show to Game of Thrones. And yes, we’re confused too.
“Season two of Game of Thrones is better than season one,” he explained. “And season three is better than season two and season one.”
So what we think Osh is trying to say is that The Bachelors keeps getting better and better. And we’re here for it!
