The Bachelors Australia is hitting screens again in 2023 and Channel Ten has just confirmed the identities of the season’s three leading men — much to the chagrin of viewers.

As previously reported by So Dramatic!, the Osher Günsberg-fronted series will once again feature a trio of Bachies looking for fame love, just months after the first-ever multi-lead season aired in January.

So, who are the lucky — or unlucky — fellas on the hunt for a bae and national TV acclaim?

Meet Wesley Senna Cortes, Ben Waddell and Luke Bateman.

According to 10Play, Wesley is “Brazil’s hottest export”, having moved to Australia to study theology.

He’s a huge “family man”; however, has “played it safe” when it comes to finding love.

Enter The Bachelors, of which Wesley says he “couldn’t be more excited” to find his soulmate.

Ben is also a model, but his “lucrative” lifestyle is missing a “partner to join him on life’s adventures”.

In a statement, he said appearing on The Bachelors is a “surreal experience” and confessed the premise is “very daunting”.

“I’ll be going in with an open mind and open heart to find the girl of my dreams,” Ben added.

Then we have Luke, a former NRL player (A.K.A. token athlete á la Felix Von Hofe) who is touted to bring “country charm” to the series.

A noted “big softie at heart”, 10Play revealed that Luke has been known to “write heartfelt poems when he’s head over heels”. Be still our beating hearts!

However, poetry and a cute face don’t seem to be cutting it for fans of The Bachelor franchise.

What was the reaction to The Bachelors announcement?

While ostensibly, these men all seem lovely, The Bachelors fans had a LOT to say about the lineup.

Sharing their opinions on Instagram, several viewers wondered why Channel Ten is bothering with another multi-lead season when “the last one was an absolute shocker”.

“Wait what??? Didn’t last season’s dumpster fire clearly demonstrate that this didn’t work?” one penned.

Another said: “Didn’t this give them bad ratings last time? Plus did any of the 3 even have a lasting relationship? At least Jimmy [Nicholson] and Locky [Gilbert] stayed with the women they chose.”

“Why are they still doing three? Is it to fight the odds that perhaps maybe one won’t be a douche? Is it a numbers game?” a third wondered.

Meanwhile, others voiced concern over another batch of Bachies severely lacking some diversity.

“I just wanted to see some more diversity in terms of age, body size, ethnicity etc,” a saddened fan penned. “We definitely need a golden Bachelor for people over the age of 50.”

Another said Wesley, Ben and Luke looked like “a cross-section of the average Australian on display”.

However, there was a smidge of positivity on the ‘gram, with some opting to reserve judgement for the time being.

“They actually look like they might not all suck,” one person wrote. “Let’s see.”

Indeed! The Bachelors Australia 2023 is said to be “coming soon to 10 and 10Play”.
