The Bachelor Australia 2021’s Jimmy Nicholson has exposed how the Rose Ceremonies really work and holy sh*t, that makes so much sense.
The 31-year-old gave his final rose to his now-fiancée Holly Kingston, but it turns out he didn’t have full autonomy over his other potential romances.
The pilot told Yahoo Lifestyle he would give the producers a list of contestants that he was interested in, but the showrunners decided on the order to create maximum tension.
“I had a list of the ladies that I wanted to keep around and the ladies that I didn’t feel a spark with,” Jimmy explained.
He continued: “I’m not privy to a lot of the things that go on behind the scenes, so I didn’t really give the order a thought.
“Consequently, Holly was left last many, many times which I didn’t realise. That’s great for dramatic effect as well because you need to throw people off.”
But Jimmy, even with his behind-the-scenes knowledge, is happy to stay mostly in the dark.
“So there’s a lot that you as the Bachelor don’t know about, but I think ignorance is bliss. Here are the people that I want to keep here, and that’s what matters,” he said.
