The Bachelor Australia 2021 couple Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston have announced that they are engaged and stars from reality TV have swarmed them with well-wishes.
The pair, who met on the ninth season of the dating show, took to Instagram on Sunday, August 28 to reveal the much-anticipated news.
“FOREVER 🫶”, they penned a carousel full of loved-up pics.
The couple shared the exciting news exclusively with Stellar magazine, revealing it happened during their recent holiday in South Italy.
“SEALED THE DEAL,” host Osher Günsberg commented, while Matty J Johnson shared a string of heart and hands up emojis.
“Omg CONGRATULATIONS ✨✨ This is the best news ever 👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️,” Married at First Sight’s Selina Chhaur wrote, followed closely by Jules Robinson.
“Bring on the wedding !! Eeekkkkk. Can’t wait to celebrate you too ! Love you both 😍 x”. So sweet!
Jules’ husband and MAFS groom, Cam Merchant, was also thrilled for the pair.
“This.Is.Magnificence [sic]🙌🏽😍Congratulations, guys! So much love❤️.”
How did Jimmy Nicholson Propose to Holly Kingston?
Jimmy revealed to Stellar magazine that he got down on his knee at the Hotel Lorelei Londres in Sorrento, Italy.
The reality star used four clues, handwritten on Bachelor-esque date cards, which led his now-fiancée to the balcony.
As she turned around, Jimmy got down on one knee, presenting her with the diamond he had purchased a week earlier.
“He slept cradling his backpack on his lap [on the flight over], holding it like a pillow,” Holly revealed. “I wouldn’t have been able to rip that backpack out of his arms if I’d tried.” LOL!
Jimmy Went In Disguise to Pick Up the Engagement Ring
The STUNNING almond-shaped diamond ring was purchased from Sydney’s Cerrone jewellers, and in true influencer-style, Jimmy used a disguise to ensure he didn’t set off any alarm bells with the media.
“I went with my sister. I had a mask, sunnies and a hat on,” he said.
“They opened the store up early for us. I just didn’t want to risk anyone leaking [the proposal plans] or anything.”
While excited for their future together, Holly confessed that she wanted a “low-key” wedding dress.
“I think this engagement is probably more for Jimmy than it is for me!” she said. “I’d prefer to put the money towards our kids than have this massive, ridiculous, extravagant wedding.”
