The Masked Singer Australia 2023 has returned to our screens and host Osher Günsberg has revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets that’ll leave you shook.
As much as we love to watch the elaborate performances on the whacky singing show, most of the fun is guessing which of our fave celebs are hiding behind their masks.
And apparently, the long-time host is guessing along with us, as he told Yahoo! Lifestyle that he only finds out who’s singing in incognito mode when the audience does!
“I have a good think about it and have a short list of two to three [guesses],” he dished.
However, after his many years in the entertainment industry, he’s practically a guessing expert.
“I’m afraid I won’t know who they are every single time but thankfully I’ve been okay [at guessing so far],” he added.
The 49-year-old also spilled which panellist was the best at playing the celebrity guessing game.
“Chrissie Swan is unfairly good,” he said. “She’s a sharpened blade of broadcasting. Our clue team have to double and triple layer the clues, otherwise she’ll get it straight away, she’s that good.” And by the sounds of it, she should become a private investigator!

The Bachelor host also revealed that the show takes extreme security measures to ensure that the celebs’ identities remain hidden.
“There’s a whole other aspect of production that I don’t see [or] know about,” he said.
However, he did spill one secret.
“If the masks are too big for them to walk up and down the stage [in]…they’ll wear this Obi-Wan Kenobi kind of cloak which conceals their body shape,” he explained.
According to the TV personality, these “cloaks” conceal the hands and gait of the celeb hiding underneath, making it near impossible for them to be detected.
And once they take their costumes off, everyone must “clear the studio”.
“Security whips a thing out and scans for bugs. Like Jason Bourne. It’s full-on,” he laughed. Intense!
