The Block 2024 season has been predicted to have a level of drama on par with the controversial dating show Married at First Sight, and that’s never a good thing.
From contestants quitting at the eleventh hour to villains who are said to be more “divisive” than Kristy and Brett Beames, the Phillip Island-based edition of the hit renovation show is set to be SPICY AF!
Long-time hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft have even dubbed it the “greatest” season yet. But then again, they say that every year!

Given The Block 2023 was filled to the brim with contestant beef, fans are hoping this year will return to the show’s roots. I.e. building houses instead of building a web of lies!
Taking to The Block Reddit forum, one viewer shared a post predicting what The Block 2024‘s “drama levels” will be.
“I am yearning for old school, no drama The Block,” one fan replied, followed by someone who said they were “wishing for no drama”.
Meanwhile, a third avid viewer said they miss when The Block “had challenges that were building related”.

However, one person has predicted that the upcoming season will up the ante and become “MAFS with hammers”. LOL!
“It’s absolutely going to be drama-filled. That gets ratings and attention, and they have no real reason to edit it differently, unfortunately,” they said.
What else do we know about The Block 2024?
The fact that one team quit the show just weeks into the competition plays to the drama fans are definitely expecting.
Per Yahoo! Lifestyle, contestants Jesse and Paige opted to leave the show and sh*t hit the fan when they were replaced with Maddie and Charlotte.
“The look and feel of House One, up until week six, was a fairly bland seaside escape concept — a Hamptons aesthetic,” the insider said.

However, the women preferred a grand Colonial theme, which they “didn’t want to back down on”.
“Maddie and Charlotte hope they will be allowed to re-do the rooms that now look out of place… But a decision on how that might happen is still unconfirmed,” the source continued.
“No one has been able to confirm what the hell is going to happen with these two themes clashing. And in all honesty, something will need to be done if this house has a hope in hell of winning.”
This. coupled with the news that not one, not two, but 22 (!!) former Blockheads are returning to the show, has definitely thrown a spanner in the works.
Bring it on!
