An insider has revealed why fan-favourite contestants are returning to The Block in 2024, and the reason will surprise you!
ICYMI: Nine revealed that 22 former Blockheads will return to the renovation show for one episode in the upcoming season to help out the cast.
However, a production insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle that their appearance on the 20th season will be a “test” to see if fans would be keen on an All-Stars series.
“Executives are dipping their toes in the water,” the source dished. “It’s not like The Block hasn’t brought back previous contestants before, but Channel Nine is still unsure if audiences care to see returning renovators.
“However, if the one-off episode featured toward the end of the upcoming series is well received, then the public casting call will be scrapped by the casting team at Lucky Break Creative.” Ooh!
This comes after Nine announced that the 2025 season will be filmed in Daylesford, Victoria.
