Olivia Frazer has warned people against voting for Married at First Sight Australia in this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards.

You guessed it, MAFS has been nominated at TV’s Night of Nights yet again, falling into the category for Best Structured Reality Program.

While Channel Nine is shouting it from the rooftops, former participants aren’t too thrilled the show is getting nationwide acclaim.

Olivia, who is widely regarded as the “villain” from MAFS Season Nine, which aired in 2022, condemned future voters in the comment section of the show’s official Instagram post about the nomination.

“A vote for this is a vote for morally bankrupt, abusive work conditions. Just FYI,” the 30-year-old penned.

“I wonder how long it takes for this comment to be deleted.”

In subsequent comments, which she shared in screenshots on her Story, Olivia made several “votes” for the improvement of MAFS.

“I vote for participants to receive specialised care after the emotional terrorism this show inflicts on them,” she wrote.

“I vote for producers answering for the critical mental health damage they subject their participants to.”

Finally, Olivia added: “I vote for this production to be investigated by Fair Work and the television ombudsman.”

Over the screenshot, she suspected that she would soon be “restricted” from commenting on the MAFS Instagram.

Married at First Sight‘s Olivia Frazer votes for ‘reality TV reform’ instead of Logie Awards

It seems Olivia’s prediction was correct, with the former TV bride taking to her Story to reveal as much.

“Since I’m restricted and what I say to @mafs won’t be public unless I make it so, here are a few more things I vote for,” she shared with her followers.

The first vote she listed was for “reality TV reform in Australia”.

“I want it to be regulated and have fair portrayals,” she wrote, adding, “I also support participants’ right of reply while airing—no mandatory NDAs.

“I vote for transparency. No producers coming forward saying ‘reality TV is reality”. No. Admit it’s just entertainment, extremely edited, and not accurate.”

Olivia concluded: “I vote for no more reality TV participants (or their friends and family) coming off ANY reality show — especially MAFS — losing their jobs, losing their reputation, being subjected to extreme amounts of abuse, being left suicidal, and completely failed by production’s (zero) protection.”

Olivia’s plea for MAFS reform comes just days after her tell-all interview on ABC‘s Background Briefing podcast.

In it, the organisation documented the making of a reality TV villain.
