In exclusive messages obtained so So Dramatic! Bronte reveals to her family and friends that her mental health has been “absolutely smashed into the wall” and she is “holding on by a thread”.

No matter what you think of Bronte, put that aside for a few minutes because no one’s calls for help should be ignored.

Bronte Schofield’s ‘extremely’ worrying calls for help on Married At First Sight were ignored by producers

A close friend of Bronte’s told So Dramatic! the online beauty educator‘s mental health during her time on MAFS was “extremely” worrying.

As revealed in episode 269 of the So Dramatic! Podcast, the friend said Bronte was having suicidal thoughts, and panic attacks. She was also taking sleeping tablets after she had been locked in a room by production for three days.

The source went on to say Bronte reached out to production for help but quite frankly their attempt to take responsibility for their actions was piss weak.

“Bronte told production she was having dark thoughts and all they did was send the number for the psychologist to her,” the source dished.

“She told production this and they said ‘just stay you can do it, you can’t leave yet. We matched you with Harrison because of your resilience scale, we know you can do it’.”

The source said Bronte was constantly in contact with friends and family in tears “telling us she wanted to go home and production weren’t letting her”.

Bronte Schofield’s mental health deteriorates after public backlash

To make matters worse, Bronte has copped a huge amount of harassment and abuse from fans victim-blaming Bronte for “enabling” Harrison’s “abusive” behaviour.

One of Bronte’s friends told So Dramatic! it’s been “really hard” for Bronte to watch the “way she’s been portrayed” because “she knows what truly happened and the viewers are getting something totally different.”

“She’s a shell of herself at the moment,” they revealed.

“She’s not coping.”

Bronte Schofield calls for Married At First Sight to do “better”

Another source revealed Bronte confronted the MAFS publicist in texts calling for the Nine Network to do “better” than telling her to talk to the psychologist.

“My mental health is being absolutely smashed into the wall,” Bronte wrote in the text.

“I just thought it would have been handled better.

“The only way it can be done (create change) is if the network just does better.

“I’m really really disappointed that it’s got to a point where I’ve had to say something,” Bronte said referring to the onslaught of name-calling and vile language in comments online.

“I honestly don’t know how I’m going to come back from this.”

The same source claimed the network knows how bad Bronte’s mental health is but they are yet to offer “real support”.

Bronte has pulled out of all her interviews and is refusing to do anymore because she’s not coping with the backlash and wants nothing to do with any of it.
