Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Timothy Smith has revealed that he’s been in therapy since filming wrapped, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.
From opening up to his wife Lucinda Light to letting go of his trauma from the past, the fan-favourite groom went on a HUGE emotional discovery on screen.
During his tell-all in episode 383 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Timothy spilled that he’s been seeing two therapists weekly since his stint on the marriage experiment.
“I’m in therapy now,” he told host Megan Pustetto. “I’ve got two therapists. One person can’t take it all on.” LOL!

The business owner also confessed that he’s been a lot more vulnerable since his time on MAFS.
“I open up a lot more about my issues [now]. And I had a few issues before going on the show,” the 51-year-old admitted.
The reality star then explained that the dating experiment will “find cracks in a good and bad way”, which forced him to start working on himself again.
“If you haven’t emotionally dealt with something, they’ll find that out. It’s not a bad thing… And it’s spun me in a different direction,” he added.
MAFS’ Timothy Smith says he’d never truly ‘dealt with’ his feelings in the past
Timothy also admitted that despite seeing a therapist “a few times” in the past, he’d never “truly dealt with” certain feelings he’d been harbouring.
“Now, I’m really digging deep,” he said. “In today’s world, a lot of us need it. Especially me.”
This is the type of male vulnerability we love to see!
