We know the brides and grooms involved in that cooked “muzzle” comment that Married at First Sight Australia 2024 has been teasing.
ICYMI: In an explosive trailer, one groom can be heard saying: “Shut your mouth! Can you muzzle your woman?” at one of the dinner parties, whilst everyone looked on in complete horror.
As revealed in episode 351 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the comment was made by (surprise, surprise!) Jack Dunkley, who was telling Jonathan McCullough to muzzle his wife Lauren Dunn.

“The muzzle comment was the worst. It was appalling and he said it with no regard or remorse whatsoever,” one contestant told So Dramatic!.
“The experts said the muzzle comment was the most confronting behaviour in MAFS history. They were repulsed.”
The source then explained that Jack and Lauren fought all season.
“Every single dinner party they have drama. He’s the Bryce [Ruthven] of the season, and she’s the Beck [Zemek], not afraid to stand up to him.
“Jack f*cked up a lot and made lots of concerning comments, and Lauren called him out every time.
“Lauren made it very clear from the beginning that she didn’t like Jack and wasn’t buying his bullsh*t. And because of that, Jack comes for her and tries to bring her down.”
The insider also called Jack a “typical narcissist”. And no surprises there!
Married at First Sight‘s Tori DIDN’T defend Lauren after Jack’s ‘MUZZLE’ comment
To make matters worse, Jack’s wife Tori Adams didn’t defend Lauren after the muzzle comment. And what happened to girl code?
“Tori also didn’t say anything or defend Lauren. She just sat there,” the insider said, revealing that this was a common trend with all of Jack and Lauren’s showdowns.
“Tori just defended Jack no matter what. The experts called Tori out at the Commitment Ceremony for not saying anything and condemning his behaviour. They were appalled that she was okay with it.
“They said: ‘Lauren’s meant to be your best friend. You should have said something. This behaviour and language about another woman is disgusting’.” Amen.
However, Tori supposedly replied: “I know the real Jack… He’s just joking. He’s actually well-spoken. It was just a heat-of-the-moment comment. I’ve never heard him speak like that or disrespect women.” And denial is a river in Egypt!
“Everyone’s jaws were on the floor,” the source continued. “We couldn’t believe what she was saying. She would also openly say repeatedly that she’s not a girl’s girl.” And it sounds like the experts paired two red flags together!
Married at First Sight’s Jonathan ‘NEVER’ had Lauren’s back
It sounds like poor Lauren never had any backup because, according to our sources, her hubby Jonathan never defended her!
“Jono also never had Lauren’s back,” one insider dished. “He never stepped in to defend his wife when Jack was attacking her and saying just the most horrible things to her. It was really disappointing.
“The experts criticised him for it at one Commitment Ceremony and said: ‘The way Jack spoke to Lauren is the worst we’ve ever heard in 13 seasons across three continents. And you’re just as bad for not backing her up’.” True that!
They continued: “Even the other grooms were shocked that Jonathan never defended Lauren. They all said if their wife was in the firing line, they would’ve gone off at Jack.
“It was honestly so pathetic from Jono.”
Maybe he was too busy indulging in his secret relo with Ellie Dix to notice Jack’s digs at his wife?
