Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023‘s Sophie Holcombe has hard-launched her new man following her messy split from Brenton Kuch.
ICYMI: On July 1, Sophie revealed she’d split from Brenton, calling it a “disappointing ending“. In August, she also told her followers she was “deeply hurt” by the breakup.
Sophie later posted a snap to Instagram on December 17, staring lovingly at her new man Max Dyball, with the caption a string of love heart and disco ball emojis.
And as revealed in episode 340 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Sophie confirmed that the pair were officially seeing each other!
“We’ve been dating for a few months now,” she told So Dramatic!. “We actually met at my local gym. He’s a trainer there!”
She added: “If I never went on the show, I’d never have been offered my current job, moved to Inverloch (a town in Victoria) or met Max. I’m really happy.” Aww!
After a lil’ digging, we also found out Sophie’s new beau is a professional triathlete. Score!
Inside Farmer Wants a Wife‘s Brenton and Sophie’s messy breakup
The breakup between Brenton and Sophie was far from rosy.
As revealed in episode 316 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Brenton said that Sophie became “jealous” of his female friendships. The couple also struggled to settle into normal life after filming, leading to the demise of their romance.
The farmer took a brutal swipe at his ex on social media in a Story captioned “dodging bullets”, which presumably alluded to his breakup with Sophie. Ouch.
