Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Melinda Willis and Layton Mills have sadly unfollowed each other on Instagram just weeks after they announced their breakup.
The power duo announced their shock split on October 11, sharing that they needed to “take time apart”.
Despite stating that they may get back together in the future, it looks like the pair aren’t rekindling their romance any time soon because Melinda unfollowed Layton on social media earlier this week, reports Yahoo! Lifestyle.
The beauty CEO also deleted all snaps with her former beau as well as a selection of photos from her time on MAFS.
Layton has also unfollowed Melinda. However, he’s yet to delete his photos with her.
Why did MAFS’ Melinda Willis and Layton Mills break up?
Melinda told So Dramatic! that timing played a big role in her breakup.
“We had our life together mapped out, it was meant to be a forever thing,” she said.
“[However], we just aren’t compatible in this present time of our lives and we have left on amicable terms and are still in contact.”
She also admitted that she still loved Layton “more than anything”.
Layton shared similar feelings, confessing that the duo “still really care about each other.”
“[The breakup] was something we both decided together as being best for us right now,” he told So Dramatic!.
However, we’re still holding onto that slither of hope for these two!
