Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia host Dr Chris Brown will be replacing Daryl Somers as the co-host of Dancing with the Stars Australia and we love this for him!

According to the Herald Sun, the celebrity vet, who moved from Network Ten to Seven in July, will be fronting the 2024 season of the dancing show alongside Sonia Kruger.

Viewers were impressed with the pair’s on-screen chemistry after co-hosting the Logies red carpet this year. And we’d love to see them work together again!

Back in April, The Daily Telegraph reported that Chris was meant to co-host DWTS this year. However, he missed out on the gig due to a “miscalculation” in his contract.

The 45-year-old will also be hosting two more shows, including The Block rival Dream Home and a yet-to-be-named adventure series. So, it sounds like he’ll be keeping busy!

Daryl Somers confirms his departure from Dancing with the Stars

On October 16, Daryl took to Facebook to confirm his departure from Dancing with the Stars.

“Just wanted to confirm the speculation that I will not be hosting Dancing With The Stars in 2024,” he said.

“Seven let me know recently that they have signed Chris Brown to the network full-time and amongst his commitments he will be hosting DWTS.”

The 72-year-old went on to say that he was “very fortunate” to have hosted the show, before revealing that he had some “exciting projects” in store for 2024.

Channel Seven will officially announce this news on October 18, reports the Herald Sun.
