Married at First Sight Australia 2024 has undergone some massive changes in an attempt to keep the fresh batch of castmates under control and avoid potential spoilers leaking to the media.

This year, Channel Nine has ditched the iconic apartments in Sydney’s CBD and relocated this year’s newlyweds to Skye Suites in Green Square, just 10 minutes from Sydney’s city centre.

The couples reportedly moved into the luxury serviced apartments last week and the rooms cost a whopping $350 per night.

According to an insider, the hotels were switched up in a bid to prevent the reality stars from going rogue and leaking spoilers to the media.

“Last year was just a mess,” they said. “Some cast members slipped out the fire escape and didn’t return until the birds chirped at sunrise and they wanted to put a stop to that.”

The source then stated that producers wanted to ensure that the cast was better behaved than last year’s rowdy crew.

“The Claire [Normarhas] and Adam [Seed] fiasco exploded just days into the shoot,” they dished. “Moving the cast might just be the tonic to keep such scandals at bay.” And NGL we’re a tad upset. We love the drama!

Married at First Sight 2024 is changing hotels to give the show a ‘fresh vibe’

However, according to a second spy, a nearby construction site was another culprit for the location switch-up.

“The clamour from the construction site across Kent Street would’ve turned our romantic escapades into a hard hat zone,” they joked.

But above all, the new location provided an opportunity to “revamp” the show and “give [it] a fresh vibe”. And after the trainwreck that was last season, we fully support this!

Now, it seems relocating hotels hasn’t quite tamed the new crop of brides and grooms, as we’ve heard that drama’s already been mounting between the couples. And we think it’d take more than a hotel change to pacify this crew!
