Married at First Sight Australia 2024 is reportedly in shambles, with producer drama and “suspicious” leaks already tainting the new season.

ICYMI: The 11th instalment of the controversial marriage experiment has just kicked off filming. And, because we can’t stand a sliver of anticipation, a number of brides’ and grooms’ identities have been leaked.

While this is wonderful for us MAFS-starved viewers, the same can’t be said for production, who are allegedly losing their minds over what should be top-secret until January 2024.

A source dished to Yahoo! Lifestyle in August that MAFS bosses are “unhappy” and “suspicious” that much of the cast is public knowledge.

“It’s inevitable that cast will reach out and work with media,” they said. “But it’s never this early before they’ve even started filming.

“It’s making a joke of the show.”

On top of this, other producers can’t contain their frustrations on set.

“It’s honestly all f*cked,” one was heard venting while a couple said “I do” at Sydney’s Maroubra Beach.

An onlooker dished another crew member smashed a light in the middle of the aisle.

“When this happened everyone started running around desperately trying to clean it up so they didn’t have to delay things. The producers were already tense and this just made things even worse,” they said.

Insider claim Married at First Sight 2024 will have lots of changes

News of on-set disarray comes after insiders dished that Married at First Sight 2024 will have a “better balance between the controversial participants there to stir drama and the ones genuinely looking for love”.

It was also revealed that repetitive storylines (i.e. cheating scandals, gaslighting, intense rivalries) are a thing of the past.

“Producers want a more diverse cast that will cover a wider range of social issues, sexualities and genders than previous seasons,” one source told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“Last season there were a lot of complaints from fans that storylines felt recycled from other seasons, so this time they’ll be freshening it up.”

Bring it on, we say!
