Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Al Perkins has quit his podcast, Back to Reality, to focus on his “relationship” and “faith”.
Co-host Taku Chimwaza made the announcement during the August 2 episode of the podcast, stating that the reality star was taking some time to prioritise his “mental health”.
“Al has decided not to continue to host Back to Reality with me. He’s okay, he’s doing just fine,” he explained.
“He’s taking a little bit of time off to focus on his relationship and his faith. I think it’s important to take time off when you’re feeling a bit uneasy… to focus on your mental health.”
The Love Island 2021 star then revealed that MAFS 2022 bride Selina Chhaur would become his new co-host and we’re super into this duo!
It comes after Al, 26, confessed that he wanted to marry his girlfriend Hope Kelesis, 18.
“I’m gonna marry her one day,” he penned over an Instagram Story originally shared by his girlfriend.
In the snap, Al wrapped his arms around Hope in a mirror selfie, over which she wrote: “Literally my favourite person.”
Al had fans a lil’ concerned after he and the TikTok sensation started teasing their relationship when she was just 17 years old.
However, they publicly hard-launched their romance after she turned 18 in February 2023. So it’s all good… Right?!
