The Bachelorette 2019’s Angie Kent has revealed that she used to be addicted to getting cosmetic procedures.
On June 27, the reality star wrote a candid column for Yahoo! Lifestyle, explaining that she started getting work done on her face when she was 25.
However, after filming The Bachelorette, she began to obsess over the way she looked.
“This is when my love for cosmetic procedures went from a safe little freshen up, to my whole face changing in a matter of a year,” the 33-year-old penned.
“I can’t even look back at photos of myself during that year without cringing and thinking why? Why would I allow someone to do that to me and why did I think I needed that?”
The Gogglebox star shared that she endured a lot of physical and mental pain from her addiction, as seeing her face change “so dramatically” was “detrimental”.
She also confessed that she felt horrible for “sending the wrong message to so many women who had been following [her] since [she] was in [her] mid-twenties.”

The Space Invaders host also admitted to lying about the amount of work she’d done to her face.
“I had to lie, I was so ashamed of myself,” she confessed.
To overcome her addiction, the podcast host revealed that she’s been doing a lot of self-work.
“The best kind of work I have done is the work I do within. I know that is corny as sh*t and so cliche, but it’s the truth,” she said.
“I totally still stan for a cheeky bit of filler and Botox, do not get me wrong there.
“But make sure you trust your practitioner and they know what your beautiful unique features are. Having the right cosmetic practitioner is a must,” she finished.
