Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Harrison Boon was exempt from receiving a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination before filming and now we know why.

And in true Harrison style, the TV groom refused to get the jab for a very selfish reason. Colour us shocked!

During the first episode of his self-titled podcast, the 33-year-old spilled the tea whilst chatting with 2022 villain Olivia Frazer.

“A lot of the guys get scouted. I’m not vaccinated and they weren’t gonna let me on the show,” he dished.

“I said to production, ‘I’m not getting the jab just to go on this TV show. I’ve avoided it all through Covid. I’m not gonna do it for a television show'”. Yep, he went there.

However, instead of kicking him to the curb, the production team *allegedly* made an exemption to have him on the show.

“They bent the rules to have me on the show. They lowered the standards from fully vaccinated across the board to allow a medical exemption for the first time.” We actually have no words…

The TV villain also confessed that he didn’t complete his mandatory STI checks until two weeks before filming commenced.

“They hunted me for that show. They did not take no for an answer,” he boasted. Sure Jan, sure.

Harrison Boon was outed for being an anti-vaxxer

Several sources who know the father-of-one reached out to So Dramatic! after his MAFS debut on January 30, revealing the truth about his stance on vaccines and the Coronavirus lockdown.

“I went to high school with him so still have him on Facebook,” one user explained.

“He’s a hardcore anti-vaxxer whose social media feed over the last few years since having his child has been a constant stream of anti-vax propaganda.” Yikes.

The source said his views only “escalated during COVID“.

“He would post photos blatantly flouting lockdown laws by having social gatherings, refusing to wear a mask, etc.”

In a Facebook post obtained by So Dramatic!, Harrison claimed that “dead babies are used to make vaccines”.

“This is not a conspiracy theory it’s a fact,” he wrote on July 20, 2020, alongside a shared video claiming to uncover the “shocking truth”.

He continued: “Does it make you uncomfortable? Good.”

MAFS’ Lyndall Grace loses it over Harrison Boon’s anti-vax status

To make matters worse, MAFS bride Lyndall Grace was reportedly “furious” when she found out Harrison hadn’t been vaccinated against COVID-19 before filming.

Lyndall lives with the autoimmune disease cystic fibrosis which means she’s more likely to catch COVID-19 and her body is less likely to fight it off. So Harrison’s refusal to get the jab really put her life in jeopardy.

One source told So Dramatic! that Harrison was “boasting” to his cast members that he didn’t believe in the vaccine, and we can’t handle the disrespect.

“He told production he had an exemption but then boasted about it to other cast members saying it was really because he doesn’t believe in the vaccine,” the source said.

“It’s so selfish and so bad, especially being around Lyndall who is at risk.

“Production should have never allowed him to do the show. Lyndall is furious she was put in a potentially dangerous situation.”

So Dramatic! have contacted Channel Nine for comment.
