Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Cam Woods allegedly “shamed” his new wife Lyndall Grace for having Cystic Fibrosis.
The premiere of the 10th season of the marriage experiment saw fans fall in love with the tradie and his musician bae, with some convinced they’d be in it for the long haul, like 2019’s Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson.
However, we thought the same when Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie got together, and look how that turned out.
As reported in episode 252 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it seems Cam and Lyndall are headed for the same fate after their honeymoon took a turn for the worst.
According to one source: “Cam is not the good guy you’ve seen on night one all the way through the experiment”.
“He shames [Lyndall] for having Cystic Fibrosis,” they revealed. “On their honeymoon, they were getting along really, really well.
“Then he turns around and goes to her, ‘Oh, well, why would I want to be with somebody who’s just going to kick the dirt soon anyway?'”
They added: “It was heartbreaking for Lyndall.”
Now, this has thrown us for a sixer, considering Cam was super receptive to Lyndall’s admission about her chronic illness.
What did Married at First Sight‘s Cam Woods say about Lyndall Grace’s chronic illness?
In the January 30 episode, the Western Australian confided in her new husband about her journey with Cystic Fibrosis.
“I have a chronic illness called cystic fibrosis. I don’t know if you know anything about it,” she asked Cam, to which he nodded.
“I know about it. We had a mate pass away… it’s where you have trouble breathing,” he explained.
The condition is also characterised by the lungs and digestive system becoming clogged with thick, sticky mucus.
Lyndall also revealed that since she’d started taking a new drug, Trikafta, her life expectancy grew by several decades.
Now, we don’t know what causes Cam to switch up on his bride so quickly, but we can only imagine things are going to get messy.
