Jamea Drake has confirmed she’s pregnant with Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Shannon Adams‘ second child and has clarified the timeline previously reported by So Dramatic!.
ICYMI: Host Megan Pustetto revealed in episode 281 of the So Dramatic! podcast that Shannon and Jamea were expecting another child together, with sources dishing the child was conceived while the show was being filmed.
One insider even said the news that his ex-partner was pregnant was why the groom lashed out at TV wife Caitlin McConville and quit the experiment.
However, Jamea has since addressed the claims, telling So Dramatic! she’s just 17 weeks pregnant, with the child due in September.
This means the baby would have been conceived around December 2022/January 2023 — well after Shannon concluded filming Married at First Sight.
However, this contradicts a recent Instagram post made by Jamea, in which she flaunted her growing belly.
“I’m due early October,” she wrote, further revealing the baby’s gender. “Milli will have a little sister, and I have another bestie.
“I didn’t think I’d be doing it as a solo single mum. But thankfully with all the love of my family and friends I’ll have the best support I need.”
Jamea also confirmed to So Dramatic! she and Shannon are no longer together. However, it’s unknown whether they will co-parent moving forward.

While MAFS was airing, So Dramatic! received a tip-off from a family member of the couple.
The source claimed the pair were “on and off right up until” filming began, going as far as to say they “had sex two days before he went on MAFS“.
“Shannon left the show not only because he was still in love with his ex but because he also found out she was pregnant with his child,” they said.
“That’s why he leaves the show because Jamea calls him and tells him she’s pregnant.”
They alleged that this is why the TV groom appeared “so distraught” at the time.
The insider then shed light on Lyndall Grace and Claire Nomarhas‘ claims they saw him with his ex and daughter in Sydney, whom Shannon alleged were his cousins at the time.
“[Jamea] did visit him at the apartments with their daughter, it wasn’t his cousin,” the source confirmed. “That was a cover-up.”
However, Jamea vehemently denied to So Dramatic! that this was the case.
