Former Married At First Sight Australia contestant Domenica Calarco has dished the dirt on the breakdown of her marriage with her ex-husband Luke Rodley in a candid chat on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia 2023.
Yep, that’s right! The 2022 MAFS bride was married IRL before putting her trust in the hands of the so-called dating experts and married Jack Millar.
Domenica opened up about the failed relationship to her fellow I’m A Celebrity campmates and revealed it was “a s**t thing to do and a waste of money”.
“I definitely shouldn’t have got married,” Domenica said.
Domenica and Luke, who is a producer on Channel Ten’s Studio 10, were together for four years before they married in 2019.
But their relationship quickly broke down and the MAFS star pulled the plug jus two months after their fairytale wedding.

The 30-year-old podcast host revealed she just wasn’t happy in their marriage.
“I wasn’t myself, Domenica dished.
“I thought it was the right thing at the time because of how I was brought up: ‘This is what I need to do at this time of my life’ and ‘This is what everyone’s doing’. But I knew deep down I wasn’t happy.”
Although their breakup was amicable, things got “really mean and really nasty” when it came to dividing up their assets.
“It wasn’t a bad breakup. Where it got bad was after we split up, and then it got messy and dirty and horrible,” she said.
“He messaged my mum once and said ‘Oh you’ve raised a horrible daughter’. I got the s**ts with my mum because I was like ‘as if you wouldn’t say anything back to him’. Thank god [he’s out of my life]. I just knew it wasn’t right, I wasn’t happy.” Talk about fighting words!
“I just take it as a life lesson. It was a s**t time in my life and then COVID happened as well — I couldn’t see my family, I was all alone and you’re going through a divorce,” she added.
What is Domenica Calarco’s relationship with her ex-husband Luke Rodley like now?
Despite lashing out at Luke on national TV, it seems Domenica and her ex are on reasonably good terms.
“I’m happy for him, I’m glad he’s moved on,” Domenica said.
Before Domenica appeared on MAFS, YahooNews reported she gave her ex-husband a heads-up.
“I wouldn’t say he took it well,” Domenica told the outlet in February last year.
“He’s way more of a private person, in a sense that he’s probably worried about the judgement a little bit more.”
