Domenica Calarco may have had a fairytale romance with her Married at First Sight Australia 2022 hubby Jack Millar, but in her MAFS audition, the bride revealed the pain of ending her previous real-life marriage.
The 29-year-old initially tied the knot with her partner of three years, Luke Rodley, in 2019.
However, the pair were only married for two months before the MAFS star pulled the plug.
In Domenica’s MAFS audition tape, she lamented: “It wasn’t like I woke up one morning and I was like ‘I’m out’.”
Instead, she revealed that “it was lingering and [she] just realised ‘I can’t spend my life with this person’.”
The bride revealed that it “hit her hard” to “call it quits” on her marriage.
“I take that sh*t seriously. So, for me to be like ‘I can’t do this with this person’… it was a very big deal,” she confessed. “I saw myself by age 28… probably being pregnant by now and buying a house”.
In her MAFS audition, Domenica also confessed that she was the first in her family to get divorced, as well as the first to move out of her family home before she was married.
Accordingly, the pressure of telling her family that her marriage was over was even more terrifying.
It’s a good job that her parents are both iconic and understanding!
How Did Domenica’s MAFS Wedding Stack Up Againt Her IRL Nuptials?
In her MAFS audition tape, Domenica made it clear that she knew that her previous marriage had to end.
The separation came mere months after she and Luke threw a lavish wedding.
So Dramatic! obtained exclusive pictures and videos from the 29-year-old’s wild nuptials.
Domenica also documented the day on her YouTube channel (which has since been deleted) captioning the sweet video: “My dream wedding on the 8th December 2019.”
The pair got hitched in an impeccably decorated church venue, with the entry adorned by a classy flower arch.
The bride stunned in a custom Steven Khalil dress paired with the longest veil ever and YUGE pink fluffy platform heels. How iconic!
Whilst her MAFS nuptials may not have been as extravagant, she and Jack’s pairing has lasted (at least) longer than two months given that the couple made it past the dreaded final Commitment Ceremony.
