Married at First Sight Australia 2023’s Dan Hunjas’ ex-girlfriends, Danni Suriano and Samantha Symes have reunited and naturally, they took the opportunity to take a dig at his love for the ocean.
In snaps shared to Instagram, Danni and Samantha can be seen enjoying a night out together. But no night out is complete without weighing in on a running joke about your ex.
“When you change your name to ocean so she takes you out,” Danni captioned the pic on her Instagram Stories.
ICYMI: During the March 5 episode when Dan and his TV wife Sandy Jawanda left the experiment, Dan cited his now infamous love for the ocean as a major factor in his incompatibility with Sandy.
It’s also a dig at another of Dan’s ex-girlfriends, Chloe Patterson who shared a pic of herself with Dan holding a bouquet when they rekindled their relationship recently.
“When you change your name to ‘The Ocean’ so he buys you flowers,” Chloe captioned the pic.
Danni and Samantha were already friends before being thrust into the spotlight as Dan’s multiple girlfriends, but they have seemingly bonded over their shared trauma of dating the MAFS groom.
As revealed in episode 262 and episode 263 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the 42-year-old was exposed for dating four women right up until he went on the show.
Dan and Danni dated until mid-January when she found out Dan had been cheating on her with wedding guest-turned-girlfriend Samantha.

This isn’t the first time Dan’s love for the ocean has been the brunt of a joke.
MAFS fans roasted Dan after he harked on about his desire to share his love for the beach with his special lady.
“I wake up every morning. I’m at the beach before sunrise. It’s those spiritual moments that I just wanted somebody to share that with,” Dan monologued to the experts.
“That has weighed very heavy on my heart because that is a true love of mine.
“So my heart and my mind have been at conflict because that was one of the big things for me, to have somebody I could share that with.”
Dan was taken aback when expert John Aiken reminded him “a key ingredient to a healthy relationship is not the love of an ocean.”
“You may not be on the same page about water, but there are a lot more important ingredients to a healthy relationship,” John said.
When was Danni Suriano involved with Dan Hunjas?
So Dramatic! previously revealed Danni and Dan were together since 2021 and continued dating in secret whilst Dan filmed MAFS from August through to December 2022. They eventually broke up in January this year.
“Dan was calling and messaging Danni the whole time during filming,” the source dished.
“He spoke to her pretty much every day whilst in the experiment.”

Dan and Danni continued dating until mid-January when she found out he’d cheated on her with his wedding guest-turned-girlfriend Samantha.
“Before MAFS, when Dan was with Danni, he even had the audacity to have Samantha stay over at his house,” the insider said.
In January, one of Dan’s mates confirmed to Danni that he’d been cheating on her with Samantha and that’s when she called things off with him.
Samantha and Dan stayed together for three months until the nurse found out about Dan’s infidelity from listening to episode 262 and episode 263 of the So Dramatic! Podcast.
She spilled the tea on their breakup, telling So Dramatic! she ended things with Dan.
Literally, a day later Dan debuted his new bae, Chloe.
But he’s since potted on a date with the former girlfriend of an ex-Hells Angels bikie, Allaina Vader, in Bali so who TF knows what’s going on.?
