Australian Survivor fan-boy Benjamin Law has cemented himself as a “legend” of 2023’s Heroes vs Villains season.

The 40-year-old journalist proved himself to be a new fan favourite after recognising a fake idol during the February 13 episode.

It came just as the “meat tray alliance” – Shaun Hampson, David Zaharakis, Sam Webb and Matt Sharp – decided to vote out their fellow Heroes competitor Ben.

But with a different (and actually legit) idol in play and Benjamin swapping tribes, the “meat tray alliance” boys’ votes weren’t counted.

Australian Survivor fans praised Benjamin for his quick thinking and his ability to recognise a fake idol, especially as returning player Simon Mee had no idea that it wasn’t real.

Many pointed out that Sam’s “meat tray” team had problematic “alpha” personalities and their “brolliance” was comprised of a cis-het, white male majority and had red flags galore!
