Johnny Eastoe has revealed that the most explosive drama from The Challenge Australia 2022 has been cut from the final edit to keep it at a PG rating.

While it’s evident that you can’t cut out all the drama so long as Cyclone Cyrell Paule is still in the mix, the former Australian Survivor star reckons her kick-offs were just the tip of the iceberg.

According to the 32-year-old, what fans see on TV is far tamer than what happened in the house IRL.

“There were near punch-ons, arguments, people who literally wouldn’t talk to each other,” Johnny told Yahoo! Lifestyle. “All of that hasn’t been shown.”

He continued: “What’s been portrayed on television is a watered-down version of what could have been screened.

“What you see on television is very PG. I think a grittier version would have been better.” Come on, Channel Ten; give the people what they want!

Johnny lifting the lid on The Challenge drama comes after the highly anticipated series debuted to low AF ratings.

The show, which is a co-production between Ten and Paramount+, raked in just 257,000 metro viewers in the overnight ratings.

Now, if they actually showed the spicy drama that Johnny and several So Dramatic! sources have dredged up, we’re sure those numbers would SKYROCKET.

What Else Happened Behind the Scenes of The Challenge Australia 2022?

While we’ve learned of Ciarran Stott‘s infidelity, a love triangle between Brooke BlurtonKonrad Bien-Stephen and Megan Marx and Ryan Gallagher and Emily Seebohm‘s hookup, news of an actual fight trumps all this BS.

As reported in episode 228 of the So Dramatic! podcast, things got so heated between two contestants that they almost came to blows.

According to a very reliable source, pro boxer Sugar Neeks Johnson almost “punched” influencer Suzan Mutesi on the first night.

“Susan said something offensive to Sugar, and she did not take it well,” the So Dramatic! insider said. “She confronted Susan about it and got really aggressive towards her and had to be held back.”

The super spy then revealed that “everyone thought they were going to punch on”.

Luckily, Suzan was eliminated on Night One, which, TBH, sounds like a blessing in disguise!

We can’t wait to hear what else went down behind the scenes…
