This year, the new togs-clad cast will be living it up in Mallorca, Spain (we have major travel FOMO) in an all-new villa!
While it’s the first time the Aussie version has set foot on Spanish soil since 2018, the original UK series has been filming in the popular holiday location.

You can watch the muy sexi islanders living a life of luxury in their stunning new villa every Monday to Thursday, exclusively on 9Now and 9Go.
The daily episodes drop on the free streaming service at 6 PM (AEDT) and 9.00 pm on 9Go!
This means it’s the perfect time to squeeze a couple more reality TV shows into our nighttime routines…or you could wait and have a major binge-watch, catching up with all the spiciest moments at your convenience – but beware of spoilers!
Who Are The Cast of Love Island Australia 2022?
The entire cast is undeniably smokin’ (and crazy young – between 20 to 26 years old, OMFG). But we can’t help but be distracted by a few familiar faces.
As reported in episode 223 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Love Island Australia 2021 winners Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd are headed back to the villa as bombs hoping to find love (again).
And they’re not the only reality TV alum hoping for a second chance at televised romance.
There are also rumours (read: pap shots and confirmation by a So Dramatic! source) that Married at First Sight Australia 2022’s Al Perkins has joined the cast. Shoey time!
What is Different about Love Island Australia 2022?
We’re predicting spoilers aplenty (and NGL, we’ve got no qualms about leaking them all), thanks to Love Island Australia 2022 being pre-recorded (for the first time) earlier this year.
As reported in episode 211 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the 2022 series was filmed ahead of time due to the availability of the European villa.
That means the cast of budding new influencers will have to hold back on AMAs, Insta Lives, and relationship reveals for as long as possible. Yeah, we can’t see this going well, either…
But never fear! Even with the new iteration, we’ll still be able to choose the winners, as all three finalist couples have already filmed a win! Lil’ bit awks, but we’ll take it.
What About Love Island Australia: Afterparty?
Thanks to the new prerecorded format, Love Island Australia: Afterparty has also undergone some major changes.
The biggest difference? Well, it’s not called Afterparty anymore. RIP Afterparty, we will remember you!
Instead, Nine has launched new web series called I’ve Got a Text. Haha, get it?
The Afterparty-esque interviews – hosted by Australian Big Brother VIP alum Lil Ahenkan (best known as Flex Mami) and Love Island Australia alum Josh Moss – drop online every Thursday night.
