It seems like the UK could soon be falling in love with National treasure Sophie Monk after it was revealed she was a top contender to take over the coveted hosting gig of Love Island UK — however, she’s not the only one in the running!

While our votes are set firmly on our own Love Island Australia beauty, it seems that Maya Jama (a.k.a Aussie basketballer Ben Simmons’ ex-fiancé) is also being considered for the role.

According to the Daily Telegraph (who got their info from UK betting site gambling.com), the UK-based influencer — who presents Netflix’s Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star — could be replacing Laura Whitmore, who exited the show after the 2022 season.

She’d probs also take to the TV dream role like a duck to villa pool water but come on, how is this even in question?

Sophie Monk Should Host Love Island UK (And Every Reality TV Show, Like, Ever)

Sophie is a certified icon of Aussie TV! She has proven hosting chops on countless reality shows, including Beauty and the Geek Australia and Love Island Australia.

Most recently, Sophie gave the Aussie and New Zealand Queens some hosting tips on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, so it makes perfect sense for the former Bachelorette star to share her bogan charm with the world!

Suppose the betting website is anything like its Australian equivalent (having recently correctly predicted the winner of My Kitchen Rules, The Masked Singer Australia and BATG).

In that case, we can take Maya and Sophie being frontrunners as gospel!
