Jack Vidgen has revealed the cast of The Challenge Australia 2022 had to endure some turbulent conditions before even arriving in Argentina to begin filming.

Speaking on his Hey Doll podcast, the 25-year-old revealed that the new survival show didn’t offer the same luxuries that he and many other reality TV stars had expected…

Eager to learn more about Jack’s experience, his podcast co-host Tom Whitaker asked him whether he travelled “first or business class” to the filming location.

“I was in coach,” the former I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star said, unimpressed.

Jack wasn’t the only one roughing it (compared to his regular luxe lifestyle), as all of the celebs involved in the show were provided with economy flights.

“I swear on my life! We flew over in economy,” Jack said.

NGL, there’s something oddly satisfying about picturing the likes of Ciarran Stott, Brittany Hockley and Cyrell Paule in those cramped economy seats, but we digress….

The Challenge Australia 2022’s Measly Pay Didn’t Compare To Other Reality TV Shows

Jack’s admission comes after Jessika Power revealed in episode 210 of the So Dramatic! podcast that the pay cheque for The Challenge Australia left much to be desired.

Speaking to host Megan Pustetto, the Married at First Sight Australia alum dished that she (and probs everybody else involved) were copping peanuts for her (since cancelled) involvement in the show.

Jessika didn’t disclose the exact amount she would’ve copped had she appeared. However, she did offer a comparison for another show she was on.

“The pay cheque wasn’t as big as Big Brother [VIP],” Jessika confessed.

Jessika reportedly pocketed $20,000 for her appearance on Channel Seven’s celebrity iteration of Big Brother in 2021; however, this has never been confirmed by the reality star herself.

Hopefully, Jack held the same sentiments!
