We all know that producers play a big role in drumming up drama on reality TV, but on The Block 2022, host Scott Cam reportedly thrived when it came to pot-stirring!

Numerous cheating scandals have tarnished the beloved renovation show’s 18th season and rumours that Scott dubbed two Blockheads “f*cking c*nts”.

Now, as reported in episode 213 of the So Dramatic! podcast, it seems the long-time host was the catalyst for several dramas on the show.

One on-set source dished to host Megan Pustetto that Scott was “feared among the contestants”.

“He would constantly make snarky remarks to stir up drama for the producers,” they recalled.

“He would swear at contestants and ambush them with untrue accusations to suit storylines that producers had planned.”

Apparently, Scott “would run with that narrative even if he knew it wasn’t true”.

The insider went on to call the 59-year-old the producers’ “puppet”.

Another source exposed “serious racism” on The Block after the host kept referring to contestants of colour as “un-Australian”.

What Have Sources Said About Racism On The Block 2022?

The source said that Scott called Sharon Johal, Ankur Dogra, Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Malik “un-Australian” several times.

“[They] took offence to this, given they are Indian, Afghan and Lebanese.”

The House Five mates, Omar and Oz, are shrouded in contempt after being dubbed “dodgy” for having tradies working for them at no cost.

While it’s clear that their behaviour is not above board — the connotation could be seen as racist as “there is a stigma around these nationalities that they can’t be trusted”.

“Dan called Omar and Oz ‘dodgy’ and accused them of cheating too, which again is playing into racial stereotypes that already exist in society,” the source explained.
