The Block Australia 2022 fans were “disgusted” after watching Scotty Cam and Shelley Craft grill Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra about their mental health under the “guise of being supportive”.

During the September 7 episode, the hosts approached this year’s TV “villains” as a part of a “welfare check”, but Scotty ended up going on a tirade, telling the duo to go home if they can’t hack the stressful conditions.

Sharon tried to explain that she and Ankur should be allowed to share their feelings without people like Scotty being “defensive”, but he was having none of it.

His combative reaction immediately raised red flags with The Block viewers, especially with the episode conveniently airing the night before RUOK? Day (September 8), which promotes mental health awareness and discussions.

Fans took to social media to call out Scotty for “railing” on Sharon, who appeared to be struggling with her mental health, with others slamming The Block producers for airing a (should have been) private conversation.

But others felt it was time for Scotty to call the Blockheads out on their “entitled” and “privileged” behaviour, begging producers not to cast any more celebrities or influencers on the show.

Fans Felt The Block 2022 Mentor Shelley Craft Actually Wanted to Check In with Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra

Some Twitter users pointed out that Shelley genuinely wanted to check in with the former Neighbours actress and looked uncomfortable with Scotty’s direct confrontation.

Shelley told the duo that she felt “really, really sad” that they were struggling with the stressful conditions and appeared to genuinely ask if there was anything she could do to help them out.
