Married at First Sight Australia 2019 alum Martha Kalifatidis may have just announced her pregnancy with her fiancé Michael Brunelli, but a new radio appearance has revealed she’s already considering baby names.

Speaking to Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli on September 6, the TV bride revealed that they found out about her pregnancy while they were holidaying in Rome.

The Nova radio hosts recommended that the newly engaged couple should consider Italian baby names, thanks to the enviable location.

Wippa even suggested the name Maximus, inspired by Russell Crowe’s character in Gladiator. We’re not sure if Martha picked up on the reference, but she jokingly admitted the moniker was “quite chic”.

However, it appears the concept of using an Italian name wasn’t too far off the mark.

The influencer admitted that she loves the name Francesca, which also happens to be the name of Fitzy’s daughter.

Despite being four months along, Martha admitted during her pregnancy announcement on Instagram that they hadn’t “opened the envelope” to learn their child’s assigned gender… yet.

Martha Kalifatidis Was In and Out of Hospital After Finding Out About Her Pregnancy

The reality star recently disappeared offline for several weeks after a “mystery illness,” leading to concerns for her wellbeing.

But on September 5, Martha revealed she has been diagnosed with a severe case of Hyperemesis Gravidarum when she was five weeks pregnant, which left her bedridden for two months.

“It hasn’t been this exciting, wonderful time for us,” she revealed in her shared Instagram announcement with her 31-year-old beau.

Martha was concerned that she would sound like she was “complaining”, despite suffering from “severe chronic nausea and vomiting” with no relief on a “24-7” basis.

“I literally didn’t get out of bed for two months. I was so sick. I could not eat or drink anything. There were days I didn’t even get up to pee. I lost ten kilos in five weeks. We have been in and out of the emergency room and hospital,” Martha revealed.

Michael went on to thank fans for their support and concern over the past few months.
