Real estate broker Tyler Stanaland might have cuddled up to his Netflix co-stars on Selling the OC, but he’s actually married to iconic comedy actress Brittany Snow.

The 33-year-old celebrity agent told the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast that he wanted to keep his private life separate from his role on the brand new Selling Sunset spin-off.

However, one of the first things we’re told about Tyler on Selling the OC is that he’s married to the starlet, who is known for her work in the Pitch Perfect franchise and naughties fave, John Tucker Must Die. Whoops, that didn’t last long!

While Tyler is best known as “Brittany Snow’s husband”, there’s plenty more to Netflix’s new reality star.

Who is Selling the OC star Tyler Stanaland?

Tyler is no stranger to living a luxury lifestyle, with his father John Stanaland being known as “real estate royalty” in the luxury California market.

But he wasn’t always going to follow in his father’s footsteps, establishing himself as a professional surfer.

However, Tyler was forced to quit his professional surfing career after being diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that caused ulcers in his large intestine.

While he’s no longer a pro, Tyler does still utilise Orange County’s stunning beaches as his personal playground. He even said his “first love” was surfing, followed by his wife Brittany, their dog Charlie and then real estate.

Tyler — who wed Brittany in 2020 — told ET that she’s “supportive” of his new reality TV gig.

“I have what makes the most sense in my career, and she has what makes the most sense in her career, and kind of whatever is best, we do, and we support, and I think that’s what makes our relationship successful,” he told outlet.

What Happened Between Kayla Cardona and Tyler Stanaland on Selling The OC?

Despite the show only debuting on August 24, Tyler has already been embroiled in controversy.

It came after he claimed on screen that Kayla Cardona tried to kiss him when the new Oppenheim crew went out for drinks after work.

He alleged that Kayla tried to mack on with him at the after-work event (when filming had conveniently finished), revealing to the rest of his co-workers the next day that she told him “nobody has to know”. Yikes!

Despite discussing it with his work pals at lunch the next day, Tyler admitted he was a “reserved guy” and he felt “out of his comfort zone”, so he tried to “remove” himself from “social situations”.

Tyler Stanaland Says “Tight-Knit Office” Blurred the Lines On Selling the OC

“One night, Kayla did try and kiss me. And then it happened another night as well,” he told podcaster Kate Casey on the same day as Selling the OC’s premiere, before suggesting he tried to “brush past it” on the show.

He suggested that the cast’s close relationships blurred the lines between work and socialising. And, if you’ve already delved into the new Netflix series, you’ll know that there seems to be very little actual work going on, but go off!

“We are a tight-knit office, and we really did, for the most part, [we] all became friends, which is a unique experience for any office,” Tyler said.

We’d say not so much “friends”, but more like frenemies…
