Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Brent Vitiello has addressed rumours that he’s no longer friends with his co-star, Al Perkins.
The duo is arguably the best relationship to come out of MAFS season nine. However, fans have feared in recent weeks that their bromance is no more after Brent and Al appeared to be spending quite some time apart.
What’s more, is that they’ve both removed the tag from their joint venture, The Life of Brent and Al, from their Instagram bios. GASP!
The bros launched their shared social media page post-show and used it to share their shenanigans with fans, but there have been no new developments since July 5.
Chatting to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Brent admitted that there has been some drama occurring behind closed doors, but he’s still good friends with MAFS 2022‘s resident shoey expert.
The 33-year-old told the publication that he recently cut ties with his management firm, THE.mgmt, which he signed on with alongside Al.
While his mate is still repped by the company, Brent didn’t feel like his values “aligned” with THE.mgmt.
“Their views didn’t align with mine and we wanted different things. It created tension and I wanted to go out on my own,” he admitted.
“The Life of Brent and Al is on hold until we find out what we can do [together] contractually, which is why we haven’t been posting.”
Brent also shared a snap of him and Al to his Instagram Story on July 31, further cementing that the pair are still “brothers for life”.
What Else Has Been Affected By Brent Vitiello’s Decision to Leave THE.mgmt?
Having changed his business contact on Instagram to his personal email address, Brent will now be representing himself.
The change in management means that several of his joint ventures with Al may no longer go ahead either.
The update comes just weeks after the pair revealed that they were launching a hoodie collaboration with streetwear brand, Valianu.
The merchandise is slated to feature memorable moments from their time in the marriage experiment, including Al’s love for shoeys and Brent’s iconic “good luck and good riddance” swipe at TV wife, Tamara Djordjevic.
It is currently unclear whether the collaboration is still going ahead.
