Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Tamara Djordejvic has gone to town on the marriage experiment while addressing her Logies snub on Instagram.

As previously reported by So Dramatic!, just seven MAFS participants were invited to this year’s annual TV WEEK Logie Awards and newsflash — Tamara wasn’t one of them.

Instead, fan favourites Domenica Calarco, Ella Ding, Jack Millar, Brent Vitiello, Al Perkins, Dion Giannarelli and Selina Chhaur all copped invites.

Taking to her Instagram Story on June 19, the 30-year-old said she had received a number of questions about whether she would be attending the Logies, before branding the celebrations as “disgusting”.

“I can tell you right now, I would not go to the Logies to support Married at First Sight,” she said. “I think it’s disgusting, I think that television show should be pulled off air, or at least made dramatic changes before someone takes their own life.”

Adding that she understands that it is a “big statement to make”, Tamara confessed that her opinion comes as participants continue to be manipulated post-filming.

“The manipulation, even after the television show, of ‘you’ll get this, you’ll get that… we’ll give you this endorsement’,” she continued. “People just either forget, or they don’t give a sh*t because they want clout, fame, whatever it may be, so they’re like ‘yay, go MAFS, vote MAFS‘.

“It’s just really sickening to me, and disappointing.”

Married at First Sight‘s Tamara Responds to Backlash That She Has Profited from the Show

Returning to her Story that same day, Tamara clapped back at followers who pointed out that like her co-stars, she has profited from her time on Married at First Sight.

However, she insisted that she’s “very picky” when it comes to the gigs she accepts.

“Yes, I am running myself as a business due to MAFS. Yes, I get work from that,” she admitted. “But I’m very picky with what I’m going to do and I’m not a sellout.”

She continued: “I will note hype MAFS [up] because they offer me a better opportunity. I am not a sellout so I’m not going to suck up the a*s of the production team… I don’t want anything from them.”

The Queenslander added that fame wasn’t her end goal going on MAFS. Instead, Tamara claims “being real, making money” and “living a happy, healthy life” is her “top priority”.

Tamara Claims Her Co-Stars “Deserve Oscars” for Showing Up at the Logies

Tamara decreed that she wasn’t “bitter” about her Logies snub, because she thinks that “MAFS is a terrible television show”.

She then doubled down on the “toxic” nature of the social experiment, calling out her co-stars who attended the awards night, even after facing the wrath of production.

“The toxic sh*t that goes on behind the scenes of this TV show and the twisted manipulation that produced still has on some people… Like, some of the people that are there deserve f*cking Oscars, not Logies,” she said. “Some of them are real good actors.”

Tamara added that “some people” from her season of MAFS “suffered a lot worse” than she did (Domenica recently revealed she was diagnosed with PTSD post-show) however, still showed up at the Logies in support of the show.

“[They] had psychologists’ help, psychiatrists’ help, mental health plans, etc, due to the television show,” she concluded.

“But people just end up becoming sellouts and that’s not going to be me.”

Ella Ding and Domenica Calarco Hit Back at Tamara’s Logies Rant

Following TV’s night of nights and Tamara’s 32-slide Instagram Story, Ella and Domenica released a bonus episode of their podcast, Sit With Us, hitting back at claims that they are “sellouts”.

“There was a lot of crap that’s been circulating about people that didn’t get invited to the Logies… You know, the ‘I didn’t get invited but I’m still going to sh*t-talk the network, sh*t-talk the show,” Domenica said.

Ella added that they “didn’t have the choice to be invited” and suspects that had other contestants copped an invite, they would’ve attended, too.

Domenica continued: “That’s the thing I just don’t understand. If you really couldn’t care less, why do you keep talking about the Logies? Why do you keep talking about the show? Why do you keep sh*t-talking us?”

Despite claims that MAFS negatively impacted the participants’ lives, the TV besties said it’s given them an “incredible platform”.

“We have an audience that’s so engaged with what we want to talk about,” Domenica confessed. “Our story and our friendship and that’s a beautiful thing.”

The pair also said that unlike themselves, it’s “very sad that the majority of the women from [their] season aren’t empowering”.

However, they commended Holly Greenstein, Kate Laidlaw and Selina for giving “credit where credit is due”.

“I think that is a real woman… People that can do that and leave all the bullshit behind,” Domenica said, before Ella added that it all comes down to “maturity”.
