It was Australian TV’s night of nights and Lego Masters, MasterChef Australia and our favourite dad, Hamish Blake, took out the top reality TV awards for the night at the 2022 Logie Awards.

On June 19, stars headed to The Star on the Gold Coast to celebrate the last two years (thanks COVID), with Hamish taking out the coveted Gold Logie for the second time.

During his speech, Hamish quipped that it was his fourth Logie win, given that the 2020 and 2021 awards were missed, on top of his Gold win in 2012 followed by a silver Logie for the Most Popular Presenter in 2022.

“My beautiful wife, this is — you don’t get to stand up here unless you have amazing people behind you. You’re the most amazing of people,” the TV host said, thanking Zoë Foster Blake before giving a “shout out” to his children Sonny and Rudy.

“You stole my look for tonight,” he said of Zoe. “I had to quickly find this [outfit]. Apart from that, I think you do it better anyway. Thank you, honey. And I would also like to thank you know, a little shout out to our kids.

“My kids are the favourite of all kids. They can’t be here. They got last-minute fake IDs and gone clubbing. But I know they will watch this tomorrow when I make them on YouTube.”

“So, to my kids, winning an award is nice. But the greatest prize is to be your dad. You’re the most important.” Aww!

Then, always self-deprecating, Hamish blamed the win on “donkey voting” but we all know it’s because he is a dead-set Aussie legend!

Lego Masters, Gogglebox Australia and MasterChef Australia Win Big at the 2022 Logie Awards

MasterChef Australia took out the award for Best Reality program, while Gogglebox Australia took out a gong for Most Popular Light Entertainment Program.

As always, the Goggleboxers had the BEST response ever with Matty Fahd and Sarah Marie Fahd (of Matty, Sarah and Jad) celebrating at home with their dog, Bane.

Travel Guides took out Best Lifestyle Program while Lego Masters won Outstanding Entertainment Program.

As for Most Outstanding Reality Program, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here took out the win — and why there are two categories for reality TV, we’ll never know!

Congratulations to all the reality TV winners — looks like the drama surrounding who was attending on behalf of Married at First Sight Australia was all for none.
