Big Brother Australia 2022‘s Tim Dormer has addressed his recent tweets in which he likened co-star Estelle Landy to Amber Heard, following her claims that he treated her like a “punching bag” on the show.
ICYMI: The returning Big Brother OGs have been feuding online after Estelle alleged that Tim and Anthony “Drew” Drew treated their female co-stars poorly.
“You didn’t see what had been going on with Drew & I for weeks [sic],” Estelle wrote on Twitter, to which Tim responded: “You are big brothers Amber Heard. Cancel yourself and go away! [sic]”.
As revealed in episode 193 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto reached out to Tim about the feud.
A man of very few words (for a change), Tim simply responded, “This sums up my thoughts”, alongside a screenshot of a comment left by a fan online.
“I can’t believe Estelle put it out there that you’re abusive,” they wrote. “A public statement saying you used her and the other women as punching bags implies that you’re an abuser. She knew what she was doing when she made that statement.”
The fan continued by saying that Estelle “knew” how her comment would be “received by the public”.
“She’s not dumb. Very strategic for a so-called “heart” player.”
Big Brother Fans Call Out Estelle’s “Dangerous” Claims
While many were quick to condemn Tim’s since-deleted reference to Amber Heard (who was recently embroiled in a defamation case regarding domestic abuse), others noted the damage that Estelle’s comments can cause, too.
The above-mentioned fan continued: “[Big Brother] is a game where everyone… messes with the other people’s heads. She’s been on the show before. To act like you all were in some kind of domestic relationship where you made her your punching bag is dangerous. [sic].”
A source also told So Dramatic! that Channel Seven has since asked Estelle to delete her tweets due to them containing unfounded “allegations of abuse”.
During the June 7 episode, Drew and Tim made a deal to try to get Estelle voted out. While that was just playing the game, it pretty much spiralled down from there, eventually landing the two fan favourite OGs in a real-life rivalry.
Tim has since called on Big Brother 2012 winner Ben Norris to “let [fans] know” the damaging effects of Estelle’s accusations.
One insider told So Dramatic! that Estelle and Tim “dragged Ben’s name through the mud for years” after she alleged that Ben bullied her relentlessly after their stint in season nine.
However, Tim has since “realised who the real victims [are]” amid his latest Big Brother feud.
