Since being evicted from the house, Sam Manovski hasn’t been afraid to share her real thoughts on her former Big Brother Australia 2022 BF, Anthony “Drew” Drew.

But the 33-year-old relationship expert took a subtler route on June 14, sharing a mysterious (yet pointed) quote about people who “selfishly drain your spirit”.

“When people no longer have access to you like they once did, you’ll receive two different kinds of responses,” the quote read, which Sam shared from an Instagram called Moon Omens.

“Those who benefited from selfishly draining your spirit will lash out once your energy is no longer available to them.

“Don’t turn the negative, inconsistent vibes of others into an unnecessary obstacle for yourself. Remember who your energy belongs to because it’s not them.”

Big Brother’s Sam Opened Up About Her Past Experiences With People Lying To Her

On June 11, Sam posted an Instagram Live with her “mentor” Damien Bohler to discuss “why people lie”. It came soon after Sam revealed Drew never told her the truth about his deal on Big Brother with former housemates.

Damien suggested people lie because they either don’t want to hurt the other person or they know they did something wrong and don’t want to get exposed for it. Yikes!

“Both ways, it’s a form of protecting ourselves from the consequences of our actions,” Damien suggested.

Sam explained that lies created “more drama” and it was the lie that hurt her more, rather than the original action.

She added that being in the relationship with Drew while on Big Brother taught her “how important integrity was” in her relationships.

Big Brother Australia’s Sam Opened Up About Coming Out To Her Mother

In the same public Instagram Live, Sam also spoke about how telling the truth was often more difficult than keeping secrets or telling a lie.

She felt it was important for people to accept themselves and “stand strong and tall in who you are” or it could cause a disconnect from other people, even if it wasn’t always “easy”.

“One of the greatest moments for me was coming out about my sexuality to my mum. There was a point in time when we were watching Ellen DeGeneres and asking ‘have you ever been with a woman?’ [sic],” Sam said.

“I was just like, this is my moment to not lie about this anymore and not try to protect myself out of fear of her opinion. And she was great, she was so supportive.”
