Married at First Sight Australia 2022 groom Mitch Eynaud is the latest participant to cop a roasting from the staff at Karen’s Diner in Sydney.
On Tuesday, May 31, Mitch and his co-star Matt Ridley enjoyed dinner at the popular establishment, which boasts waitstaff who are extremely rude to customers — AKA acting like “Karens”.
True to form, one waitress took her assignment very seriously, adorning Mitch, 27, with a paper bag that read, “Loves sloppy seconds”. Ha!
This was likely in reference to the TV groom’s alleged relationship with Brent Vitiello‘s on-screen wife, Tamara Djordjevic. However, the pair continue to vehemently deny that they’re romantically involved.
Sharing the hilarious encounter on his Instagram story, another post of Matt’s revealed that the Karens weren’t done with Mitch just yet!
On the other side of the paper bag was another taunt, referring to the fleeting 15 minutes of fame.
“#Washed up celebrity,” the bag read. LOL — someone give the staff a raise, ASAP!
Mitch and Matt were also joined at dinner by the latter’s girlfriend, KJ White and another friend by the name of Aman.
Karen’s Diner Previously Reignited a Married at First Sight Feud
In May, Olivia Frazer, Jackson Lonie, Carolina Santos and Daniel Holmes all visited Karen’s Diner in Sydney.
However, staff unknowingly reignited a feud between Olivia and Domenica Calarco when they bestowed a paper bag on the bride’s head, reading: “Subscribe to MY OnlyFans!! (I need the followers).”
The 28-year-old infamously distributed intimate images of Domenica among the cast following the brutal confrontation at the 2022 Couples Retreat.
Daniel and Olivia later shared the diner interaction to their Instagram Stories. Daniel urged people to follow Olivia, while the contentious bride mused “OF by Olivia Frazer coming soon…”
Naturally, fans were ticked off about the brazen jabs and slid into the stars’ DMs.
Married at First Sight‘s Daniel Holmes Defends “Karen’s” Post
In response to the people in his DMs, Daniel took to his Story to absolve himself of “any part in” the Karen’s stint
“To all the crazies messaging me about this,” he penned. ” We went to a restaurant called [Karen’s Diner] where the theme is rude service, jokes etc.
“One of those jokes the staff did was to come up and put this over [Olivia’s] head. [It] was a funny thing that none of us had any part in, chill out.”
He then intimated that it wasn’t a big deal considering they didn’t have “a party dedicated to bullying another or anything”. This was in reference to Domenica’s Married at First Sight viewing party, where she displayed a poster reading: “We don’t serve Olivias. [sic]”
However, fans suggested that posting photos of the Karen’s Diner interaction perpetuated unnecessary drama and bullying.
