Fans have called out Married at First Sight Australia 2022 bride Olivia Frazer for “perpetuating fatphobia” in a series of videos on her Instagram Story.

Since debuting on the hit marriage experiment, the 28-year-old has been open about her battle with weight loss and the decision to have a gastric sleeve surgery at 22.

However, a number of Olivia’s followers have taken issue with the language the bride has used when discussing body image online.

Most recently, the hotly contested participant revealed during an Instagram Q&A that she was “disgusted” by her younger, heavier self.

“I actually deleted… a lot of photos of me at my heaviest because I just didn’t want to look at it,” she said in the clip. “It was disgusting to me, it made me feel so, so bad.”

What Have People Said About Married at First Sight Star Olivia’s Instagram Story?

As revealed in episode 186 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one fan reiterated why the discourse surrounding Olivia’s decision to have surgery is “not okay”.

“This whole thing, her whole story is perpetuating fatphobia which is not f*cking okay,” the follower said. “People who are struggling to accept their bodies will see this and feel so unseen.”

They also added that the danger of Olivia’s post is that some individuals may view “surgery [as] the only answer” to their body image issues.

They continued: “People with a history of eating disorders, people still suffering from disordered eating or body dysmorphia will see this and be so, so triggered. I know I was.

“Fat is not disgusting and this needs to be addressed ASAP.”

Olivia Frazer Causes More Drama During An Instagram Q&A

Olivia’s many Instagram Q&As have left many Married at First Sight fans scratching their heads over some of her comments.

Recently, the MAFS bride speculated that the nude photo scandal — in which she distributed a racy image of Domenica Calarco among the cast — was set up by producers.

“Setting the record straight” on her Story, Olivia reiterated that she was NOT sl*t shaming Domenica. She also maintained that the image was not sourced from OnlyFans, but rather Twitter and/or Reddit..

AKA, she didn’t nab it from behind a paywall but did still share someone else’s nudes amongst a group of people. Gotcha!

Then, Olivia spruiked the theory that the entire nude photo incident was set up by producers – despite admitting that she had been given the images from someone outside of the experiment. Aaaand before that, having claimed she found them herself after “googling” Domenica.

Olivia Frazer Says Nude Photo Scandal Was “Entrapment”

The former driving instructor speculated that producers were aware of Domenica’s OnlyFans account. She theorised that they WANTED the other contestants to find the images.

She claimed the other newlyweds “never sl*t shamed” Domenica and, “were just questioning why she was allowed to have open social media pages when everyone else had shut theirs down.”

“We were wondering if producers had left it up on purpose to maybe create a storyline.

“We just had the Simon Blackburn scandal. I think producers intentionally left it all up as entrapment to create a storyline, which they got.”

Look, we don’t doubt that MAFS producers are meddling and probably a tad evil, but why would they EXPECT other newlyweds to go looking for dirt on their castmate? Beats us…
